The educational objectives of the Agribusiness Study Program are prepared based on the competency profile of graduates, namely:

- Manager, who can manage agribusiness company organizations in the fields of production, marketing, human resources, finance, and information synergistically in teamwork.
- Businessman, who can plan and develop local resource-based agribusiness companies creatively and innovatively, which can be held accountable based on divine values and the rule of law.
- Researcher, who can plan and develop local resource-based agribusiness companies creatively and innovatively, which can be held accountable based on divine values and the rule of law.
- Consultant, who can facilitate community empowerment in the field of agribusiness by utilizing science and technology based on Islamic values.
The Agribusiness Study Program UMY formulates learning outcomes (Expected Learning Outcomes, ELO). These learning outcomes state that graduates of the Agribusiness Study Program are able to:

Able to apply logical, critical, systematic, and innovative thinking in the context of developing or implementing science and technology in accordance with their field of expertise.
